During the Festival School Days, more than 15,000 Minnesota children see artists from around the world perform exquisite music, heartfelt dramas and heart-pounding movement inside the Ordway! We are so excited to announce that the Flint Hills Family Festival is going virtual from May 26-29! free for teachers, students, and families, will include robust arts education content such as mini-concerts, sing-a-longs, musical theater lessons, and artist interviews. Featured artists creating custom content for the festival include Dan and Claudia Zanes, DJ Digie, Native Pride Arts, magician Justin Alan, and performers from Polkadots: The Cool Kid Musical.

The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts today announced the postponement of the 20th annual Flint Hills Family Festival, previously scheduled for May 29-30, due to current public health concerns.

The Ordway hopes to reschedule what would have been a celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Flint Hills Family Festival, to 2021. The largest family festival in the country, the Flint Hills Family Festival has attracted nearly one million visitors to downtown Saint Paul since its inception in 2001. Celebrated each year with a week of school performances and a weekend of free and low-cost performances and art activities for families, the Festival is made possible by a 20-year partnership between the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts and Flint Hills Resources.

All ticketed performances for Flint Hills Famiily Festival have been cancelled. These shows include:
- NOOMA an opera for babies
- Cirque Mechanics presents 42ft: A Menagerie of Mechanical Marvels
- Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical
- Sons of Mystro
