Happy Friday and Happy Growing! 🌿✨ This week at Close To My Heart, we got our hands a little dirty... and learned a LOT! 🧤🌻

As we count down the days to Spring, our little botanists spent the week exploring the secret life of plants! From tiny seeds to big green leaves, we’ve been busy discovering what it takes to grow.

Our "Budding" Scientists learned:
• What Plants Need: Water, sun, and a whole lot of love (just like us! ☀️💦).
• We explored dirt, seeds, and water through sensory bins and art projects.
• Patience & Care: Preschoolers planted grass seeds and we will wait to see how long it takes to grow!

Happy "March Forth" Day! At Close To My Heart, we are celebrating all the ways our little ones "march forth" into new milestones every single day.

🧠 Did You Know?
Before a child can "march" or walk confidently, their brain is doing some incredible behind-the-scenes work!

To coordinate a steady walk, a child’s brain must master "Crossing the Midline." This is the ability to move a hand or foot across the center of the body. Every time they reach across their lap for a toy or take a diagonal step, they are "wiring" the left and right sides of their brain to work together. This isn't just for walking, it’s the same brain power they’ll eventually use to read and write!
