The Saint Paul Seminary forms priests, deacons and lay leaders for thriving Catholic parishes, families and communities. The seminary serves close to 20 Upper Midwest dioceses by providing holistic priestly formation. It also offers graduate programs in lay theology, Catholic School Leadership and preparation for the permanent diaconate. The widely acclaimed Catechetical Institute, which helps Catholics grow deeper in their faith and articulate it in their everyday life, is also operated by The Saint Paul Seminary.

Our seminarians joined in the ranks of 850 others, 260 deacons, 1,000 priests, and 89 bishops at the Beatification Mass for Blessed Fulton Sheen, our alumnus.

What a profound gift to witness the universal Church gathered together, united in joy and gratitude for a life so wholly given to Christ and the salvation of souls.

Our Seminary prayer teams are privileged to pray with visitors at the Fulton Sheen Beatification in St. Louis, asking for the intercession of our alumnus Blessed Fulton Sheen.

These beautiful custom-made tee-shirts were made for our Seminary community through the generosity of our local Serra club, featuring the art of Christopher Santer.

The hour Fulton Sheen first pledged here is now bearing fruit for the whole Church. As we prepare to attend his beatification in five days, we invite you to join us in the same simple act that shaped his life: one hour, before Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.

The Church has long held Mary’s sorrows alongside her joys, understanding that both belonged to her fiat to God. Today we honor Our Lady of Sorrows, and the depth of a faith that did not waver, even at foot of the cross.

This week at The Saint Paul Seminary we welcomed new seminarians. Some are new to the Seminary, others are entering a new stage of formation. The day began with a time of prayer where each man prayed alongside the priest formators who will walk with him in the year ahead. From there, the men worshipped together in a Holy Hour, at Holy Mass, and evening prayer. The night ended with a festive barbecue prepared by returning seminarians, a sign of the brotherhood our new men are joining.
