Hey Mac!
LCM's second Macalester Student Film Festival is next Thursday (Dec 1st) in the Loch and we are still looking for video submissions! We will show a selection of original short films made by Macalester students on the big screen.
If you have a short video of ANY kind that you would like to share at this event, please contact us at [email protected]. Your video does not need to be of professional quality.
LCM serves as a creative outlet for students with an interest in film and shares their stories with the rest of the Macalester community through this event. Come grab some popcorn and celebrate their cinematic work with us!

Tomorrow is the big night of LCM's 1st Macalester Student Film Festival from 7-8pm in the Loch! You can still submit your glorious masterpieces until 1pm tomorrow afternoon. Bring your friends to see your Oscar-worthy art tomorrow on the big screen! Please email [email protected] with submissions or questions.

Hey Mac! We are kicking off this semester with our first Short Film Workshop this Saturday from 2pm-3:30pm in Campus Center room 205! We will have a short film activity prepared for those who come, so bring any recording device if you can, whether a camera or a phone. We hope to show off the videos you produce in a Macalester Student Film Festival (hosted by LCM) near the end of the semester. So come on by and let's make some short films!

Take a look at our first short film "Laundry Day"! It was our submission for the PB Student Film Festival this semester. Unfortunately the screening was canceled and all submissions didn't receive the attention and prize they deserve. However, we are working together with PB to host our first screening! Please send us your links and we will gather them for an official premier soon. We would love to hear more from what you think about our film, how we should organize the screening event, and what's your next expectation from us! Good luck with your finals and we wish you a great summer!

Hey Macalester! This Sunday March 29th we will be having our first meeting as an officialy chartered student org! That's right! We are now chartered! We will be meeting in CC 215 at 8:30pm for an hour or less to discuss our goals for the rest of the semester and some opportunities to help other orgs with video projects that are already popping up.

Hey Mac! Right now Spencer Moor, Dex Nguyen, and Benjamin Mathers are looking for people who would want to participate in MACALESTER’S FIRST SHORT FILMMAKING CLUB “Lights, Camera, Maction!” (LCM). We want to create an org where students can come together to write, produce, cast, and film their own original short film projects.
