📚✨ FINAL(S)LY! ✨📚

This semester started back in January… and somehow lasted approximately a decade. If you’re in finals mode right now: we see you. 🫶

As you power through exams, papers, and projects, remember to take care of yourself—drink water, get some rest, take a break when you can, and breathe. You don’t have to earn exhaustion to earn success. 💛

Summer is so close we can almost taste it 😎🌴
And we’re especially excited to celebrate with many of you at Commencement on May 4th 🎓🎉

You’ve got this—and CAR is always cheering you on!

☀️💙

Disability Awareness Month calls us to take a hard look at the practices we've normalized.

If we're serious about equity and inclusion, we must stop using harmful language - especially words like the "R" word and "special needs" that devalue people with disabilities. Choosing better language is not about being "politically correct"; it's about being human.

Let's model the change we want to see.

A Quick Reminder About Service Animals on Campus

Did you know that service dogs - and in some cases, miniature horses - are allowed on campus? They do not need an accommodation letter, special documents, certification, vest, or ID to accompany their handler.

Service dogs are working and trained to perform specific tasks for a person with a disability. These service dogs are permitted in all areas of the university where the public or students are normally allowed.

Only dogs (and sometimes miniature horses) are recognized as service animals under the ADA, and they must be individually trained to perform a task or tasks related to the handler's disability. Emotional support animals (ESA) provide comfort but are not trained to perform disability related tasks, and are not considered service animals under the ADA.
