For 35 years, Martin Strommer carried unfinished business. Just one semester short of graduation, he left St. Thomas to pursue a career opportunity. The years passed, but earning his degree remained a goal he never let go.
In 2011, with the encouragement of his wife and support from St. Thomas, he crossed the finish line and became a Tommie graduate.

What can a music education at St. Thomas look like?
For 42 student musicians in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, it meant performing across Turkey, exploring Istanbul, Ankara and Cappadocia, and sharing music with audiences around the world.
The ensemble, part of the Music Department in the College of Arts and Sciences, completed four performances during a 10-day tour, including "Anatolian Rhapsody," a commissioned work by Turkish composer Ekin Eti.
