GSU Members from Marshall, Tracy, and Wabasso were in Lynd this morning to support the EA before their 2nd mediation session. Thank you to everyone for your support! 🖤💙

The Lynd Education Association has yet to reach a contract settlement. They are asking GSU members to "Stand in Solidarity" with them by joining them for coffee, juice, and donuts (while supplies last) from 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM on June 4 before their next mediation.

Meet in the Lynd School parking lot at 106 Saint Albans Street. You’re encouraged to wear your black “Proud Educator” shirts from GSU. If you don't have one, just wear any black shirt.

Fairmont Speech Coach Kathleen Walker has been named the 2026 High School Coach of the Year by the National Speech and Debate Association. She was chosen from a pool of coaches from over 4,000 schools across America.

Our bill laying the foundation for a statewide health insurance pool for educators cleared the full Senate today!

However, it still needs House approval and to be signed into law by Gov. Tim Walz. Use our easy-action form to tell them to support the Educator Group Insurance Program report bill. Without a statewide cost analysis, the Legislature cannot accurately project EGIP's price tag, making passage next year much more difficult: https://edmn.me/3Pl1YxG

Congratulations to the 2026 GSU Scholarship Recipients! These scholarships are funded by membership dues and are awarded to students of our members. Each recipient will receive $2,500 to pursue their post-secondary education.
