Department of Mathematics The Department of Mathematics offers a BA and BS in Mathematics, as well as a math minor.
In cooperation with the College of Education, we offer a BA in Mathematics with teaching licensure in 5-12 Mathematics or a BA in Elementary Education with a Middle School Math Endorsement. In addition, we offer a Dual-Degree in Applied Mathematics and Engineering with the University of Minnesota.

For Departmental Honors, Peyton Baker was named the Outstanding First-Year Mathematician. Lorien Swanson and Cassie Sieling were named the Warnke Math-Science Award winners. Congratulations Peyton, Lorien, and Cassie! We are proud of your accomplishments.

Lots of end of the year events to celebrate:
At the University Student Leadership celebration, we had two student award winners. Nico Soto won Student Employee of the Year for his work at the Hand in Hand Daycare Center. Lorien Swanson won the Student Leader of the Year for her outstanding work as Tri-Pi Math Club President, Math Learning Assistant and Tutor, Comet's Cupboard Volunteer, Resident Assistant, and various other contributions.

Very proud of the math students presenting their research projects at the Concordia University, St. Paul Research and Scholarship Symposium. Congratulations to Bryce Sievers on winning one of the Judges' Awards for Outstanding Presentation. All of these students have earned Graduation Honors in Mathematics. I am very fortunate to work with these fantastic students.
