Congratulations to Celia Nguyen, 2022 graduate in marketing and international business and economics! This summer, she was awarded Best Evening Gown at Miss Minnesota USA while representing as Miss Eagan.
Celia says, "The experience was truly unique, filled with memories and valuable learning lessons. It's amazing what women can achieve when given the resources to succeed - a valuable lesson I learned during my time at St. Kate's. We're kicking off the new academic year by welcoming another new face to the Business Administration Department! Prof. Prasida Khanal will be teaching Healthcare Policy and the Senior Seminar in Healthcare Management. With dentistry and public health degrees, she is the State Oral Health Director at the Minnesota Department of Health. She hopes to leverage her healthcare leadership, government experience, and policy background to bring fresh insights and perspectives to her classes. Previously, she was an adjunct at St. Catherine University's Department of Public Health.

We are pleased to share that Dr. Anupama Pasricha will be serving as Interim School of Business Dean for the 2023-24 academic year. Dr. Pasricha was previously Fashion Design and Merchandising Department Chair and has taught at St. Kate’s since 2005. She is an accomplished educator, scholar, and leader who brings experience and expertise to her new role. With her agile mindset, commitment to diversity and inclusivity, and impressive leadership experience, Dr. Pasricha is dedicated to contributing to the continued success and growth of the School of Business.

That’s a wrap for Katie Leadership Impact’s Lead and Influence Summer Camp! In culmination of their data analysis, negotiation skills, and management techniques, our thirty-seven high school participants presented their business proposals today to family members, friends, teachers, and peers. They have worked hard all week and impressed us with their intelligence and eagerness to learn.

Today was field trip day in Lead and Influence Summer Camp! Visiting Best Buy headquarters in Richfield, students had the opportunity to see business careers in action and learn how the company functions day-to-day. One highlight was touring a mock store! Another was hearing about Best Buy’s inclusion, diversity, and equity strategic priorities, environmental sustainability initiatives, social impact, and internship and early career programs. Thank you to all of our hosts who made the visit informative, engaging, and fun for our campers!

Lead and Influence Summer Camp is off to a great start! Sponsored by Katie Leadership Impact, the wee-long camp for high school students will help participants realize their leadership styles. The classes today introduced business, management, marketing, data analytics, and speech communication principles.
