Save the date! Back to school night is coming up on August 27th. ✏️🍏

5-5:30 will be a sensory friendly time and 5:30-7:30 will be open to all families. This is a good time to meet the teachers, bring in school supplies and more! Information will be sent out as the event gets closer.

We're excited to announce that TCGIS will be participating in Para Power 2026!

Para Power is a full-day professional development conference designed specifically for educational assistants, bringing together outstanding educators and experts to share practical strategies that support student success.

We're especially proud that Katie Gogo, Assistant Director of Special Education at TCGIS, will be presenting a session titled "Supporting Independence Through Smart Prompting," where participants will learn practical, evidence-based strategies to increase student independence and confidence.

With an incredible lineup of presenters and a panel of experienced professionals, Para Power 2026 promises to be an inspiring day of learning, collaboration, and growth. We're thrilled that our educational assistants will have the opportunity to learn alongside colleagues from across the region and bring back new ideas to better support our students every day.

Earlier this June, TCGIS had a Grand old time at the St. Paul Grand Old Days Parade! 🎉 It was so much fun seeing so many familiar faces along the route and feeling all the support from our amazing community. Thank you to everyone who came out and cheered us on!

Free Meals for Kids!

When school isn’t in session during the summer, kids 18 and under can receive free meals at locations that include park and recreation sites, community centers, libraries and schools. No registration is required.

Hunger Impact Partners’ Free Meals for Kids mobile app will help you locate meal sites and features other resources. The app shows distance and directions to the nearest site for free meals at hundreds of Minnesota locations during summer school closures, as well as on weekends and during school breaks. Developed with the Minnesota Department of Education, the app provides each site’s menu and hours.

Sign up for our fall athletic teams from July 1 until July 15 on Infinite Campus (school store). Please be respectful of the time and efforts our coaches and athletic director put into the sports program by signing up during the registration window. There is a $50 late fee for registrations after July 15. Email AD Tabisz with questions.

TCGIS Athletics is opening up the TCGIS Cafeteria to watch the World Cup game of Germany vs Ivory Coast at 3 PM on Saturday, June 20.

Who? All TCGIS families, staff, friends are welcome.
Where? TCGIS cafeteria and playground
When? Saturday, June 20, at 2:30 PM through 5:30 PM
What to bring? Bring whatever lawn chairs, blankets, food, you'd like.

We'll have the playground open for those who would like to spend some time playing outdoors.
