Week of Service Spotlight: Thank You, Metro State Volunteers!

A huge thank you to the Metro State alumni, and staff who came together at Open Arms St. Paul as part of our Week of Service!

Together, we packed 367 meals that will help provide nutritious, homemade food to people living with serious illnesses who are unable to cook for themselves.

We’re grateful to everyone who gave their time, energy, and compassion to support the important work of Open Arms. Your generosity is helping make a difference in our community and showing the power of the Metro State community coming together to serve.

We’re looking for volunteers to:

Help direct guests as they arrive

From September 21–26, Metro State Alumni Relations will be collecting essential items to support the Student Parent Center as part of our Week of Service!

We are short of volunteers for this event and need your help! Join us on Friday, September 25, from 5–6:15 p.m. as we clean up and harvest the Metro State Community Garden at the Saint Paul Campus Student Center (690 E. 7th St., St. Paul, MN 55106).

We’re looking for volunteers to help with seasonal garden cleanup and harvesting while supporting this valuable campus resource. No gardening experience is necessary—we’ll provide all the tools and supplies you need!

Parking: Volunteers may park in the Metro State University parking ramp and will receive a complimentary parking voucher upon arrival.

Stick around after the project! We’ll celebrate our hard work with pizza and an opportunity to connect with fellow alumni, students, faculty, staff, and community members.
