Still not over graduation 🥹

We caught up with the Class of 2026 right after they walked the stage to ask the big question: what’s next?

From neuroscience PhDs and teaching second grade, to volunteering in Bolivia, getting married and catching up on sleep (mood), the future sure looks b̶r̶i̶g̶h̶t̶ purple 💜

Go do big things, Tommies 🎓

Congratulations Graduates!

Earning your degree is quite an accomplishment, and we wish you the very best in your life after St. Thomas!

Before you go, however, there are a few things we want to share with you.

Exit Counseling
What is Exit Counseling?
Exit counseling is a requirement if you borrowed a federal student loan. It provides important information to help you prepare for loan repayment. You will be asked to complete exit counseling each time you:

Drop below half-time enrollment
Graduate
Leave school
Who should complete this?
Students who have received a subsidized and/or unsubsidized loan(s) under the Direct Loan Program or the FFEL Program, must complete exit counseling. Recipients of the SELF Loan (a private loan program) typically pay interest while in school, but repayment will change upon graduation. To ensure that you understand the changes and all your obligations, contact the SELF Loan servicer, Aspire Servicing at 800-243-7552.

Federal Work-Study vs. Campus Jobs: What St. Thomas Students Need to Know 03/16/2026

Student employment and federal work-study at the University of St. Thomas explained.

This video covers how student employment works, what federal work-study (FWS) means in a financial aid offer, how to apply for campus jobs, how students are paid and what paperwork is required after being hired.

Financial Aid and Human Resources staff clarify common misconceptions, including the difference between work-study and a grant, whether work-study is paid as a lump sum and whether students without work-study can work on campus.

All student employment opportunities — including work-study and non-work-study positions — are listed on the Student Employment Job Board.
