At Project REACH and Fostering Connections, we work to support the education of children in foster care or who are experiencing homelessness.

We work with Saint Paul Public Schools and other community agencies to support the education of children in foster care or experiencing homelessness. We do everything from coordinating
school transportation to contacting agencies that provide medical assistance. If you are homeless, you can count on us to support your child’s educational experience. Students and families are eligible if they live:

Winter Warming Spaces
Four Winter Warming Spaces in St. Paul are open to anyone in need of a place to warm up overnight. The spaces offer seating, blankets, light snacks and warm beverages. They also provide winter warming supplies such as mittens and hats when available.

The Winter Warming Spaces are open from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. every night through March 31, 2025.

When temperatures reach zero degrees or below and/or when windchill reaches -15 degrees or below, additional local shelter beds or warming spaces may become available. Contact Ramsey County staff at 651-266-1035 or email [email protected] to receive a referral.

Project REACH Hiring Licensed Hourly After-school Tutors

The Title I Project REACH program provides tutoring services to several homeless shelters in the City of Saint Paul.

The program is looking to hire certified teachers who are highly qualified in reading and math for hourly after-school tutoring (Job ID1020796). These educators would assist children experiencing homelessness with enrichment lessons in reading, writing and math.

The tutoring assignments are from 2-4 hours per day for 1-4 days per week. Most of the available hours are between the hours of 4-8 p.m.

Teachers hired for these positions may work at various sites including emergency, domestic abuse or transitional shelters.
