As the neighborhood has grown to include more children and caregivers, the issue of play space equity has become more apparent than ever. We have been working to advocate for development of a public park and playground within a walkable distance of the nearby schools, residences, businesses, and nonprofits.

Common Roots Montessori School in Bandana Square East (a small nonprofit program serving children ages 16 months through 6 years) has been working with a student intern from Great River School on a number of ideas for collaboration in our neighborhood, and they'd like your input!

As the area has grown to include more children and caregivers, and with the new operations of Interfaith Action and Project Home in Bandana Square West, the issue of play space equity has become more apparent than ever. They have been working to advocate for development of a public park and playground within a walkable distance of the nearby schools, residences, businesses, and nonprofits.

Goodnight garden! 🌙 This week the children helped plant some daffodil bulbs that will be ready to greet us in the spring and then tucked in the garden beds for a long winters nap.

Jumping into the new week!

We went on an epic journey to Project Home today to deliver all of the costumes and Halloween decorations we collected over the past few weeks. Thank you so much to everyone who donated! The children were so excited to bring everything over and it sparked some great conversations!
