Each year, the MN Association of Charter Schools' Awards Luncheon celebrates, honors, and awards Minnesota chartered public schools that are "unleashing education from convention" through impactful innovative practices and leadership. Today is our 2026 Charter School Day at the Capitol! Thank you to all of the chartered public school leaders, administrators, teachers, staff, board members, students, parents, and stakeholders who've joined us today to advocate for fair and just education policies for chartered public school students. A huge thank you, as well, to Minnesota Department of Education Commissioner Willie Jett for joining as our keynote speaker.

Thank you to all who joined us last week on Thursday for our 2025 Annual Meeting & Celebration! The event was filled with passionate and talented individuals from across our community and state, and we’re grateful to be able to share in the celebration with them.

Congratulations to our 2025 MN Charter School Pioneer Award recipients Liz Wynne and Bill Zimniewicz, 2025 MN Charter School Champion Award recipient MN State Senator Steve Cwodzinski and 2025 Eugene Piccolo MN Charter School Advocate Award recipient Joe Nathan.

Congratulations, as well, to the 25 chartered public schools that reached significant milestones this past year and received Milestone Awards at the event.

We look forward to many more years of celebrating the outstanding achievements of Minnesota’s chartered public school community and the people who continue to enrich the spirit of the movement.
