Another moving moment from Orchestrating Opportunities last weekend 💟✨

We were excited to present this year’s $1,000 School Music Grant to the Hidden River Middle School Band and Orchestra Program in St. Paul!

Led by Emma Fischer, the program is expanding access through free instrument loans, and this grant will help repair instruments so more students can keep playing.

"In three years, enrollment in our top ensembles has increased by nearly 400%, which means that the cost of running the program has substantially increased," Emma shared. "Many of our students are currently playing on broken instruments or sharing with classmates; this grant will allow us to ensure that each child has their own working instrument to learn on."

School music programs are an integral part of the Twin Cities music community, and we're proud to support the great work Hiden River Middle School is doing this year!

The deadline to apply for a new SPPS school for 2026-27 is this Friday, February 20!

Come see why our students and staff are loving our new school! Our official ribbon cutting event is on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 4 p.m. We hope to see a lot of our families, neighbors and alumni there!
