A local social fraternity founded on June 6, 1911, Phi Delta had its first house on Hewitt Avenue. Beginning in 1921, Phi Delta members lived in the shadow of the Hamline Methodist Church and across from Manor House at 1500 Capitol Avenue (now Englewood Avenue).
