The MFSO is an independent state agency whose primary purpose is to support co curricular career and technical student organizations.
The Minnesota Foundation for Student Organizations (MFSO) is the collective umbrella co-curricular Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) reside under in Minnesota. The MFSO acts in an advisory capacity to the MDE and to the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities in allocating legislative funds to the CTSOs. Congratulations to our Minnesota CTSOs on their successful skilled competitive event and leadership conferences!
This year, our CTE students knew their Time was Now with SkillsUSA! They Discovered their Purpose with BPA and Got the Edge with DECA! CTSO student members Soared to Success with FCCLA and are Going Beyond all Limits with HOSA!

This month the MFSO celebrated CTE Month with the annual CTSO Day at the Capitol! It was our first year back "in-person" since the pandemic. Our student leaders continue to be the best ambassadors for career and technical education.
Announcement- the HOSA Mid-Winter Event Conference at St. Paul College (January 4th) is cancelled due to weather.

This fall has brought some big changes to our CTSO leadership here in Minnesota. The MFSO and FFA are saying goodbye to Executive Director Juleah Tolosky and wish her well in her new endeavors. Lavyne Rada will be stepping in as the Interim Executive Director as they move forward.
SkillsUSA has welcomed new Executive Director Tim Friedrich. Tim is excited to welcome students and advisors alike to SkillsUSA this year!
FCCLA will be overseeing a transition as Executive Director Wendy Ambrose plans her retirement after more than 30 years of dedicated service to FCCLA. Wendy will be celebrated and missed by all those in the CTE community. More information on the position can be found here:
