Through coaching and natural medicines I help young adults learn how to manage their anxiety.

Homeopathy is a form of holistic medicine that treats the person as a whole by strengthening their inner natural ability to heal. Healing occurs on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. Patients see improvement in their vitality and overall well-being and over time become less susceptible to acute and chronic illness. Homeopathic remedies are gentle and safe enough to use on babies, p

I heard this today on an NPR radio show today about mental health after the pandemic and civil unrest in Minneapolis.
In homeopathy we talk about the "state" someone is in and that is what we aim to treat.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I have to admit - sometimes my inner voice sounds like Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh. It has taken work (honestly, ongoing work) to combat my inner Eeyore. Here are some tips.

*Be conscious of my tendencies
*Name the beast
*Identify it's purpose
*Thank it
*Change course

Through the help of my coach, therapists, my husband and loving friends I have become conscious of my negativity and can name it. Dartanyan is my go-to name for anything evil. I acknowledge it's purpose. This inner critic has our best interests in mind. Perhaps it is warning against failure, rejection or embarrassment. It's okay to be afraid of these things, in fact, it's natural. Say a thank you and pivot, move forward, find solutions, figure it out, take a deep breath and carry on!

Be gentle with yourself 💖

Self-care is a practice that our society does not always support. It can be difficult to put practices in place that nurture your wellbeing.

Practice makes progress.

It can be uncomfortable to say "no" when we are the "yes" person. If you are not used to it assertiveness can feel like aggression. It is important for you to have the right people to support you while you are making changes. Sometimes that maybe a friend or family member but often it is a therapist, coach or healer.

The important thing is that you are supported when making changes so that they can be sustained.

It's a LEAVE-THE-YOGA-MAT-OUT kind of week. I tweaked my back shoveling last week. This week I am setting 45 minute work sessions to stretch, roll out my hips and open my heart-center.

Anyone else feeling the pain?

Is your inner-voice your worst critic?

Are you competing against yourself?

Do you withhold joy from yourself?

When I talk about self-care I am not referring to massages and high-quality shampoos (although both are nice!). The self care I am talking about is HOW you treat YOURSELF! There is an inner-voice that will repeat childhood trauma unless it is interrupted. There is a societal pull that will mold your life if not rejected. And there is a child inside of each of us that deserves love AND joy.

Self care is not about what we purchase to compensate for what we lack. Self care is how we care for ourselves on the deepest and most intimate ways.

Often anxiety and depression can go hand and hand. When dealing with either or both you may feel like you are missing out on the best part of life - peace in the present moment.

Anxiety coaching and natural medicines can help. I work with clients to understand their triggers, practice mindfulness and coping mechanisms.

What better way for grounding and healing than through those gifts given to us from nature. I combine herbalism, homeopathy and food as nourishment to support clients while they are exploring their anxiety.

The combination of coaching and natural medicines allows for powerful and deep healing.
