GLI's owners, Sheila and Mary, are sad to announce that Global Language Institute will be closing at the end of the year. We have been "bringing the world together through English" at GLI for more than 30 years, and in this time, many thousands of students from all around the world have studied with us and become a part of the GLI family. We are heartbroken to have to close our beautiful school, but with the coronavirus pandemic, it may still be a long time before international students will again travel freely and comfortably to study English in the U.S.

We are not saying goodbye just yet, though. Our final session begins today, and we are delighted as always to welcome back our wonderful students!

Good morning and Happy Friday! It's going to be a gorgeous day today, with a high in the 70s here in the Twin Cities, so students, please get out there and enjoy some safe, socially-distanced sunshine! A great session underway right now, and so nice to see students in person in GLI. Thank you students for being so responsible in following all the guidelines to keep everyone safe and healthy! A reminder that, with the next session starting November 2nd, if you introduce a new student to GLI, and they study with us full-time for a session, we’ll send you $300. Happy Friday! A little cooler today here in the Twin Cities today, but still nice to throw on a sweater and get out there for some fresh air! We're excited for our session start on Monday. Remember, your safety is our priority, so the school has been set up to follow all the government guidelines with temperature checks upon arrival, masks required, deep cleaning of the classroom space, and of course, socially-distanced classes! Good morning! Another sunny morning here in the Twin Cities! We’re excited here at GLI as we get ready for the start of the new session next Monday, our first ‘hybrid’ session with a mixture of online and in-person classes. Good morning! Hope everybody had a great weekend. A beautiful Fall morning here in the Twin Cities, but a little chillier than last week. Definitely sweater weather! Thanks to everybody for their nice comments on our 30th anniversary post last week. It was so nice to hear from so many of you. Happy Friday everybody! And it's a very special Friday for all of us here at GLI as we celebrate our 30th anniversary! On this special day, we would like to thank all of our current and former students, staff and faculty, homestay families and partners around the world for being part of the GLI family! We believe that our mission of providing the highest standard of quality English as a Second Language while promoting intercultural understanding is just as important today as it was when we started 30 years ago.
