For 170 years, God has faithfully used Converge to plant churches, equip leaders, and advance the gospel around the world. Bethel has been grateful to partner in that mission for more than 150 of those years.

While I wasn't able to attend Converge Together 2026, I was thankful members of the Bethel team could join more than 1,500 ministry leaders to celebrate God's faithfulness and the ways He continues to transform lives through His Church, at Bethel and around the world.

I'm grateful for our longstanding partnership with Converge and look forward with hope and anticipation to all God will continue to do.

Earlier this spring, Will Courneya was named as Bethel’s recipient of the Vechery Scholarship. This award recognizes students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, character, and financial need as they complete their education at a Christian college. Congratulations, Will! We’re grateful for the impact you’ve made at Bethel and excited to see what God has ahead for you!

I could not be more thrilled to welcome Dr. Sarah Westberg as the new dean of the Anderson Family College of Health Sciences. She has a demonstrated passion for teaching that we deeply value and I am excited to see how God work through AFCHS in the coming years. Welcome, Sarah!

Pastor Matt is a beloved member of our community. There is no way to appropriately thank him for all he has, and continues to give to Bethel through the talents God has given him. We are so grateful for you, Matt! Congratulations on 25 years of service!

For nearly a decade Dr. Corrow has been an invaluable member of our faculty. I could not be more excited to see how God will use her in this new role shaping the future of CASE and our students!

Celebrating 20 years of Innovation Scholars! 🧬

In February, the 2025-26 Innovation Scholars team—Aaron Elseth ’26, Grant Nelson ’26, Lucy Stay ’26, and Kiera Thurston ’26—presented project recommendations to Mayo Clinic innovators and licensing associates in Rochester, Minnesota.

Over four months, the team worked on a confidential biomedical technology transfer project involving engineered vesicles and mesenchymal stem cells, with applications connected to spinal cord injury and degenerative disc disorder.

The Innovation Scholars program gives students hands-on experience in science, healthcare, business, and entrepreneurship—and shows what Bethel students can do beyond the classroom.

One of my favorite nights of the year. The Scholarship Celebration is a reminder of what makes Bethel so special. Students, donors, alumni, and friends gathered around a shared belief in the power of Christ-centered education and the lives God is shaping here.

Grateful for the generosity that opens doors for so many students and for the stories shared around every table!

What an encouragement to see such a strong showing at Bethel Advance and the meaningful conversations taking place around the future of education. Special thanks to alum Krista for sharing her insight and leadership. I love seeing Bethel graduates re-investing their experience back into our community!

I am always so proud of our students when they visit our state legislature each spring to share their amazing research. Congratulations to Aaron Grawe and Jordan Smith, who joined several other students from Minnesota private colleges. I also met with three of our distinguished alum, Mark Johnson, Kristin Robbins, and Huldah Momanyi-Hiltsley serving our state. Thanks for taking the the time to connect!

ROAR Day 2026 is here! A common thread in the stories of so many graduates I meet is how they were shaped in their faith through a relationship with a professor, coach, or staff member during their time at Bethel.
