Come all ye English and History majors to our annual Christmas party this Friday night! Join Faculty and fellow students as we enjoy holiday treats, carols around the piano, and the always exciting White Elephant gift exchange! Twill be excellent fun!
Please bring a wrapped present for the gift exchange (think funny, strange, bizarre). We hope to see you there!

What a beautiful day for graduation! We celebrate the accomplishments of our English and CALE graduates. Each one has enhanced the life of our department and will be missed! We rejoice in their new chapters and all the good and meaningful things God has in store for their futures.

Yes, it’s happening! After 30 years at UNW, Professor Hougen is retiring. All current English students and alums are invited to an open house to honor her teaching and her years of service.
There will be a short program at 3:30. Please join us we wish her well in her next chapter of life!

The English Department extends hearty congratulations to the winners of the Inkstone Creative Writing Contest. All accepted submissions for the fall and spring issues are considered finalists, and winners receive gift certificates from Amazon. This year’s judge was English alum Addie Zierman.
All of these students will be reading from their award-winning work this Thursday night, 4/25, at the Fine Print Reading, along with Addie Zierman who will be the featured reader. Don’t miss it!
