Todays activity for art: Self reflections!

Students were instructed to look in the mirror to notice defining features about themselves and to color a person cutout that looks like them.

We talked about features that make people look unique, such as freckles, glasses, curly hair, etc.

Students observed their reflections and shared a few things they like about themselves .

While looks are not the most important feature of a person, it is important to help children develop positive body awareness. Students picked out the image they felt most resembled them and were encouraged to color them using colors that matched their outfits for today.

This activity was so much fun and insightful 💕
