The non-profit Diverse Media Institute is housed in a highly specialized facility that is uniquely designed for the study of audio and media production. ​

The Campus is within the nearly 35,000 square feet building of the High School of Recording Arts with specialized facilities and supporting equipment, which constitute the DMI Learning Resource System. There are 3 classrooms and laboratories, all which are interconnected by a digital backbone that runs throughout the building. Specialized resources include fully outfitted recording studios equipped with a wide range of outboard gear and plug-ins. A dedicated soundstage is equipped with professional grade microphones, amps, speakers, gobos, filters and musical equipment. Apple Computer workstations are equipped with professional computer applications, including Avid Pro Tools v.12. Several Pro Tools legacy systems are available to assure backward compatibility for student audio engineers. The Diverse Media Institute is licensed by the Minnesota Office of Higher Education

DIM Students:

I learned that Adobe is hosting it's Adobe Max training conference online for free this week (Tuesday - Thursday). There are hundreds of online courses in all their applications from beginner to advanced and GREAT speakers (Tyler the Creator, Conan O'Brian, DJ Marshmello etc.) !!

DMI Students: We are not on track in the Recording Techniques Course and need to pick things up.
1. Work on projects and submit screenshots to the micing labs ( there's a total of seven)
2. Complete the assessments and the mid term exam by the end of this week.
3. The final exam will be available next week.
