Bethel’s Office of Accessibility Resources and Services, also known as OARS, works with students with disabilities to help remove barriers to learning and living at Bethel.

OARS helps students request reasonable accommodations, talk through accessibility needs, and understand what support may be available. That support could include things like testing accommodations, note-taking support, alternative text formats, sign language interpreters, or housing-related accommodations.

To get started, students self-disclose a disability and provide documentation. From there, OARS works with each student through an individualized process to determine reasonable accommodations.

A New York principal’s next step | Bethel University 07/27/2026

From New York, principal Tara Falasco GS’26 was able to pursue Bethel’s online Ed.D. in K-12 Administration while continuing to lead her elementary school full time.

That meant she could apply what she was learning directly to the challenges in front of her—turning concern about student anxiety into research and schoolwide change without stepping away from her community.

Her doctoral work also strengthened a longstanding commitment to mentoring women in educational leadership.
