With school just around the corner, anyone with school-age children can pick up gently used supplies at the free School Supply Swap on Aug. 7, 8 and 10 at the Environmental Center.

Extreme heat will blanket the Twin Cities today, with heat index values that could reach as high as 123 degrees. If you or someone you know needs a safe place to cool down, The Salvation Army is here to help.
All seven of The Salvation Army’s service centers in the Twin Cities will be open today as cooling centers during their regular business hours, welcoming anyone seeking relief from the dangerous heat.
Please stay hydrated, limit time outdoors when possible, and check in on older adults, neighbors, and anyone who may be especially vulnerable to extreme temperatures.

Saturday Food Market hours will be happening at the Wellstone Center this weekend! We invite you to visit the Food Market on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in the Wellstone Center at 179 Robie St E.
Saturday hours are operated on a first-come, first-served and walk-in basis. No appointment is necessary. Please note that shoppers are welcome to visit the food market two times per month, and Saturdays do count toward the two-visit limit.
