Today we honor the many Veterans who have served this country. Metro State is proud to have one of the largest student populations of veteran students in Minnesota.

Yesterday, we held our collaborative program with Minneapolis College. It was very informative and uplifting.

Thank you all for your service.

Today, October 13, Metro State University honors Indigenous Peoples’ Day—celebrating the history, cultural contributions, and resilience of Native peoples.

Our Dayton’s Bluff campus sits on Dakota land, near sacred burial mounds, reminding us of the deep connections to this place. As we reflect on the past and ongoing challenges faced by Indigenous communities, we reaffirm our commitment to take action through meaningful support and services, such as contributing to Native scholarship endowments, supporting Indigenous businesses, and raising awareness of issues impacting Native communities.

Together, we stand in solidarity with our Native students, alumni, and neighbors.
