🌟 Join us on Tuesday, November 28th, for Giving Day and support St. Michael Indian School, a cornerstone of education within the Navajo Nation since 1902! Founded by Saint Katharine Drexel, who believed in spreading joy through education, today the schools serves 340+ students in preschool through high school.

Saint Katharine Drexel once said, "It is always under this aspect - joy in the Heart of Jesus - that we ought to present our message to the children... We must attract them by joy to lead them to its source, the Heart of Jesus, the font of all consolations, to Him Who is the essential joy of God the Father."

Meet Philisionnii, a senior at St. Michael Indian School. She’s been a Cardinal since first grade.

Philisionni enjoys learning about all things science and it is her favorite subject in school. Her plans after graduation are to attend Northern Arizona University and study Physical Therapy. Right now she’s reading “The Inheritance Games” by Jennifer Lynn Barnes which are stories full of puzzles and riddles. She credits Mr. Patterson for helping mentor her through the high school years.

Cheerleading is her sport and she said ,”cheer is important to me because I help bring school spirit. I get to yell and have fun during close games.” She’s been cheering since middle school and is the current varsity co-captain.

Continue the Cardinal Legacy
First Day of School begins on Wednesday, August 10th for preschool through high school. Back to School Night will be on Tuesday, August 9th from 4 to 6 PM. Back to School Night is an opportunity to meet teachers, visit classrooms, and drop off supplies for the school year. Interested in enrollment? There are limited seats available for this school year. SMIS Education Night on Wednesday, August 3rd from 4 to 7 PM in the school gym. Stop by to learn about scholarship opportunities and apply on the spot. Unable to attend the Education Night? Stop in on Saturday, August 6th from 8 AM to 12 PM to complete applications, take placement exams, meet with Principals, and learn more about admission. St. Michael Indian School will host an Education Night to share how to fund 100% of your child's private school education. Parents should have a choice when it comes to the education of their children. Explore your options by meeting with school partners to learn about how tuition can be paid for by the Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Act or Student Tuition Organizations. Meet school staff to learn how to enroll now. Take home a backpack with school supplies and make new friends!
