STMA Knights Baseball

The Knights defeated Elk River in game 1 today by a score of 5-1 as B. Klinkhammer throws a CG. But the Knights came up short against Monticello and suffered a 3-1 loss in game 2. The Knights finish the season 18-10 and say goodbye to 15 incredible Seniors who have displayed what it looks like to play for each other and represent our program and community in such a positive way. They’ve stuck together and played for each other for 10 years and it’s been a joy to watch. Thank You Seniors and best of luck this Summer and beyond!

The Knights continued Section play today and defeated Alexandria 8-2. B. George was great on the mound as he goes CG allowing 2 ER's with 6 K's. The offense was led by T. Haring who had 3 hits and drove in 4. T. Siens and R. Kurth also contributed 2 hits apiece. The Knights will now play at 2:00 on Wednesday @ Cold Spring VS Elk River with the winner playing a second game tomorrow VS Monticello.

Knights continue Section play today!

The Knights suffer a tough loss tonight to Moorhead in extra innings as they lose 3-6 in 8. The Knights jumped out to an early 3 run lead, but couldn't push across anymore after that. W. Underthun with an incredible outing on the mound as he goes 6 IP, allowing 1 ER w/ 12 K's before C. Tangen pitched the final 2, allowing 1ER. The Knights will rest and reset over the weekend before hosting Alexandria on Tuesday at 4:30 as they continue Section play.

GameDay! Section second round VS Moorhead!!

The Knights opened up Section play VS Brainerd tonight and came away with a 13-5 win. B. Klinkhammer with a strong start on the mound as he goes 4.2 IP allowing only 2 ERs. C. Tangen and E. Funk came on in relief to close it out. The offense was led by R. Kurth had a 2B, a HR and drove in 4. T. Lahr, A. Crank and Q. Standal also added 2 hits each. The Knights will continue Section play on Thursday when they host Moorhead for a 4:30 game.

First round of Sections today!!

The Knights earned a solid 8-0 win over Minnetonka tonight and finish the regular season 15-8-1. The Knights played well in all aspects of the game. W. Underthun threw 5 hitless innings and B. George & C. Tangen each pitched shutout innings to secure the victory. K. Johnson led the offense with 3 hits and R. Kurth & T. Siens each added two. The Knights will now enjoy a well-deserved rest before they begin Sections on Tuesday, May 26. Other scores from tonight and season records:

The Knights competed well tonight against Wayzata, but came up just short as they lose 2-3. J. Scully started on the mound and threw well as he gave up 3 ER's over 4 IP before E. Funk and A. Hanson closed out the last three scoreless innings. T. Siens led the offense with 2 hits. The Knights once again have a quick turnaround as they close out the regular @ Minnetonka on Thursday night at 6:30. Other scores from tonight:

The Knights played their final section opponent of the regular season and came away with a 5-3 win over St. Cloud. B. Klinkhammer gets the W as he goes 6 IP, allowing 3 ER's with 9 K's. R. Kurth led the offense with 3 hits and W. Lawrence added 2 hits. The Knights will continue Lake Conference play on Wednesday as they host Wayzata for a 4:30 game on Senior Night.
