Students in the Law & Public Safety and Future Educators programs at MOVTI had the opportunity to learn about human trafficking from a panel of professionals today, including Chief Probation Officer Crystal Grize, Judge Tim Sweeney, and Danielle Stanley.

Students gained valuable insight into how trafficking occurs, warning signs to look for, and the importance of advocacy and prevention.
Experiences like this help prepare our students to be informed, responsible citizens and future professionals who can make a difference in their communities.

Mid-Ohio Valley Technical Institute is proud to share that Chloe Bramos (Ritchie County High School) has been selected as the Reporter for the WV HOSA State Officer Team.

As Reporter, Chloe will help share WV HOSA news by preparing articles, working with local and school newspapers, supporting social media updates, and helping document activities and achievements throughout the year.

We are proud of Chloe and excited to see her represent MOVTI and WV HOSA!

Baileigh Miller and Sabrina Tomey attended the 2026 West Virginia Educators Rising Conference in Canaan Valley this week. During the conference, they took part in competitive events, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities that allowed them to showcase their skills while learning from experienced educators and fellow students from across the state. These experiences gave them the opportunity to demonstrate their skills while continuing to grow in confidence, professionalism, and their interest in pursuing careers in education.

Mid-Ohio Valley Technical Institute was proud to participate in the inaugural CTE Expo hosted by WVU Parkersburg alongside students from Roane-Jackson Technical Center and Caperton Center for Applied Technology!

Our students showcased their skills in hands-on competitions in Criminal Justice, Carpentry, Computer Science, Health, and Welding. We are especially proud to share that several of our students placed in their competitions. A true testament to their hard work and the commitment of our instructors!

We kicked off tour season today with freshmen and sophomores from St. Marys High School!

Students chose three programs to explore and participated in hands-on activities with our instructors and students, getting a real feel for our many different career pathways.
