Tuesday 5/9 Announcements:
Mrs. Tefft’s 7th & 8th graders will have Physical Education in the gym today.

Our 8th graders will be ISAT testing today. All 8th grade shop, band, library/teachers’/office aide students will be testing in Mrs. Schiermeister’s classroom. There will also be ISAT Testing in Mrs. Wasianen’s and Mr. Ebert’s classrooms.

Students who have a Resource class, will report to the library for first through third hour. Do not go to your assigned class because testing is in progress. The Learning Lab is closed first through third period.

Scoliosis screening will be offered to all middle school students today, 5/9. Our school nurse will be at the middle school to screen any student who returns a parent signed permission slip. We also have extra yellow permission slips in the office. If you’d like to participate in this class please return your signed parent permission slip.

To all of our 8th grade students: Please join us with your parent or guardian for Parent Night Thursday, May 11th, at the High School gym for Freshman Orientation. You will learn about graduation requirements, courses offered, registration, Advanced Opportunities, dues, fees, lunch program, activities, clubs, and sports. These are very valuable topics you will not want to miss. Please call the high school if you have any questions: (208) 2455-2142.

All this week, May 8th – 12th, we will be having another book fair at the middle school. Information will be passed out to all students 8th period yesterday. Extra information will be in the office.

Free Sports Physicals are scheduled for June 6th at B*H. More information is available in the office.

Don’t forget about our hall cleaning competition! Whoever has the cleanest halls at the end of the year will earn a party for the entire grade!

Track practice is from 3:00-5:00 at the high school track. Buses will transport track athletes to the HS after school. Track districts will be held this Friday at Timberlake High School. The events start at 2:30 pm. The bus will leave SMMS at 11:30 am, so students will be dismissed at 11:20 am. Please make sure athletes have everything ready as this is during our lunch break.

You must be 14 ½ years old by the first day of class. The cost is $175 for in-district students and in-district homeschoolers. Mr. Hamblin will have more information for you at Heyburn. You may contact him at [email protected] if you have more questions.

-This Friday, 4/28, our 8th grade students will be traveling to SMHS to participate in the Career Expo. Students MUST wear long pants and closed toe shoes in order to participate.

-We have our very first HOME Track meet today at the High School Track beginning at 3:30. Good luck to all our track athletes today!
