American Kenpo Karate MN - St. Louis Park American Kenpo Karate

Instructor: Dennis Bechly, 4th Degree BB, under Norm Rolando, 8th Degree. Learn basic moves and defense combinations/techniques.

We teach American Kenpo Karate - a no nonsense style of self-defense. Teenagers may join, but they must act as responsible adults. This is not a sport karate class. Saturdays 10:30 - 12:00, Central Community Center Cafateria
The last Saturday of the month is considered "Play Day". No formal instruction, but detailed work on specific aspects of the art. Register through St. Louis Park Public Schools Community Education or at your first day of class. This page is administered by Dennis Bechly

Saturday. Jun 27: Sorry, a little behind the ball this week. We'll be working some Forms and having a little Play Day. Better make it this week because there is no class next week week as we will be celebrating the US 250th birthday 🇺🇸🎆. See you at class.

Saturday, Jun 20, Week 15: Sword of Destruction, Shielding Hammer, Hooking Wings, Crossed Twigs, Conquering Shield, Dominating Circles, Unwinding Pendulum.

Yellow and Orange: (Left punch) how to handle range differences, Purple and Blue: double hand attacks from front (push) and rear (wrist grabs), Green and 3rd Brown: Lapel grab from different hands when it may be difficult to move back, 2nd Brown: combination attack of a Front Kick followed with a Punch.
