Little Bloomers Child Care

Little Bloomers is a licensed home day care located in St. Joseph, Illinois. We are within walking distance of both the grade & middle schools. Ages 0-12 years.

I offer a fun learning environment & preschool based curriculum. Many moons ago, I started this daycare journey with the assumption that it would be for one, maybe two years until my son was older. My son is now almost seventeen and I am still providing daycare. I fell in love with a career that I honestly never considered when I was trying to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up. Some da

ys are not super glamorous, but most days are an absolute blast. I have had the privilege of watching little ones start as infants, and grow into little guys and gals. Someone asked me why I do this job & my response although comical, is still very true, "I get paid to play with Playdough, wouldn't you want to do this job?" Watching little ones grow, learn new tasks, learn new words, go off to school, the list goes on....makes this a great job & that's why I have yet to do anything else.

Summer went faaaaast at daycare this year!!! I tried keeping the littles & school agers busy & doing fun stuff! There was park time, play time, pool time, craft time, & everything else in between.

Kids love bubbles, I find them messy. But, an automatic bubble maker is the best of both worlds & make great pics!!!

This rainy & cold week has made it super hard to be outside. So we did some zoo animals yoga to try & get our extra wiggles out!!

Its no secret that Magnatiles are probably the MOST played with item at daycare. Today I found a Tiktok of a hot air balloon built with magnet tiles. So the school agers & I decided to try it. It took some trial & error but we accomplished it!!

That’s a wrap on summer here at daycare!! Lots of time outside. Uno became the game of summer. We made new snacks to try. The kids helped make some piggies & a few other crafts. A few got to go to Elevate. The summer was a house full of smiles (most days), noise & lots of daycare kiddos; depending on the day. And in our normal tradition, we ended our summer with Chinese food for lunch.
