Girls on the Run is about so much more than running! Our girls are building relationships, gaining mentorship, and learning the importance of giving back. Today, they spent part of practice picking up trash around our campus. Taking care of our school and our community! Way to go, girls!

Wednesday at Lindbergh! The day of the week our hallways fill with community readers showing up for our second graders. Building reading skills, mastering sight words, and most importantly a love for reading.

We will be reviewing our Title I information and documents and discussing opportunities for parents and families to be involved at Lindbergh. Your voice and involvement are important to us! We would love to have you join us, share your ideas, and help us plan activities and events that support our students and families.

We want to remind everyone that the PTA Membership and Lindbergh t-shirt package ends tomorrow, Friday October 2.

$20 will secure a PTA membership AND Lindbergh t-shirt. $2 extra for plus sizes. Additional t-shirts can be purchased for $15 and $2 extra for plus sizes. Complete the form via the link below or send an order form to school tomorrow (let your student’s teacher know to look for it/get it). Shirts will be in by the end of October.

Support Lindbergh! Parents, teachers, family, and friends can join to receive discounts at local businesses and school events. Purchasing a membership does NOT sign you up for anything or require to do anything further. It just merely supports our school with funds for our students.

Talk about growth.

Our MAP proficiency has continued to climb, and we are incredibly proud of the work happening at Lindbergh.

We are not where we want to be yet. But we are growing, and we are going to keep going.

We weren’t going to take those numbers and accept them as good enough. We made a plan. We took action. We kept pushing. And our students and staff are showing what can happen when we stay focused on the work.

This doesn’t happen by chance. It happens through strategic planning, intentional action, great teaching, hard work, and a whole lot of people believing in our students.

We’ve grown. We’re proud of how far we’ve come. And we’re not stopping now.

Talk about growth. Talk about Flight 2812. Now turn it up to 11!

Miss Groves showcased an amazing program that started at Lindbergh to community members at the St. Joseph School District Foundation Community Breakfast this morning!

Reading Rumble began at Lindbergh Elementary School in 2024-2025 as a fun way to promote reading with a little competitive edge. In 2025-2026, it expanded to include Lindbergh and Hyde Elementary Schools. Now, in 2026-2027, Reading Rumble has grown to six schools: Lindbergh, Hyde, Hosea, Pickett, Parkway, and Coleman!

Students compete in teams at their school level twice each year, with qualifying teams advancing to the finals against teams from the other schools. Questions challenge students across all areas of reading, from comprehension to vocabulary to inference and more. Thanks to the generosity of our anonymous benefactor, teachers receive the books, t-shirts, and trophies that make this experience even more special. Reading Rumble has created incredible excitement, teamwork, and a love of reading!
