Amazing news!
I know we're doing Krampusnacht Downtown, Krampusnacht Fantasy Ball To Benefit The Noyes Home for Children, Krampusnacht Fantasy Ball in Downtown St. Joseph a week late this year. But since today is the day Krampus is formally celebrated, it seems like the right time to share with you some exciting news.
The Wayward Dreamers Guild applied for a grant through the Missouri Humanities Mini Grant Program and were awarded $2000 for Krampus 2026 by using this and previous years' efforts as reference. We are so grateful to all the people that committed to Krampus 2026 and to those that have made it an incredible event in years past. We exceeded the match amount by a staggering number when we accounted for all the donated time, expertise, energy, space, performances, and materials. While we collectively spend very little money on making this happen, the value of the event amounted to almost $20,000.
Our sincerest and utmost gratitude to the contributions of volunteers, scholars, musicians, experts, performers, and business owners. Every one of you that lent your name, resources, and efforts are dear to us. Thank you.
We'd also like to extend a thank you to The Noyes Home for Children for taking a leap with a fledgling organization in their first year. We hope to do you proud.
All said, it's not hard to see the value that can be generated when like-minded and mission-driven folks come together to do something special. It also shows that a small organization like ours with the help of our community can bring significant cultural value to the area. We love you all and hope to keep bringing culturally significant humanities programming to your beloved downtown.
Here's to you, Krampus 2026 and The Missouri Humanities!
The Wayward Dreamers Guild.
See you at this years festivities. Visit the above linked events for tickets and more information.

Dear Supporter,
Happy Holidays! The Wayward Dreamers Guild, a local humanities education nonprofit, is hosting the Krampusnacht Fantasy Ball to Benefit The Noyes Home For Children. WDG’s mission is to support other area nonprofits through humanities-and-arts-focused programming. This year, we have partnered with The Noyes Home For Children in an attempt to raise funds and provide much-needed items. Participating organizations throughout downtown St Joseph will host collection stations, businesses are running Krampus-themed specials, businesses are sponsoring story-time readings, there's a special lecture at the library, all culminating with the ball hosted by WDG. The ball is the principal fundraiser and provides attendees with the opportunity to learn traditional dances, hear traditional music from a professional string ensemble, show off their amazing costumes, and experience cultural enrichment like no other.
We invite you to help support us and our community in this effort. Included in this communication, you will find a sponsorship form. We know that there are a lot of opportunities for you to give throughout the season and appreciate any consideration you may give. Please feel free to share this opportunity with your networks and communities. We hope to do a good job for the kids of The Noyes Home. Please reach out to us if you have any questions and follow the event on social media. Get your tickets today!
Warm regards
