It was such a joy to welcome our sophomore, Bennies & Johnnies, nursing students to Sacred Heart Chapel last week as they received their stethoscopes and a special blessing. 🩺❤️

May God accompany each of them as they continue their collegiate journey and prepare to live out their vocation as compassionate healthcare professionals. May they always bring care, dignity, and hope to those they are called to serve.

Today we celebrate the 800th anniversary of the passing of Saint Francis, patron saint of animals, the environment, and Italy.

As a Benedictine community, we join with joy in this Jubilee Year of Saint Francis of Assisi. May his life inspire us to seek God in creation, care for our common home, and live with greater simplicity. 🤎
