OAK GROVE ELEMENTARY - After 18 months of extensive community engagement, a bond levy that was passed by the largest margin in modern history (65% yes) and more than 1 year of hard labor by construction crews and architects the first new school in over 50 years will open in the northeast area of St. Joseph! The view from Cook Road, looking North, has really changed in the past few days! Lots of dirt is being moved for what appears to be a driveway or parking lot!

Site preparation for the new school being built at Carden Park (16th & Duncan) is continuing. It'll be fun watching this school emerge from the ground. The rain held off and ground dried enough for the heavy equipment to resume work on the new school being built at Carden Park! The kids at that school will have the best view in the city!
