SAVANNAH - CHAMPIONS!!! Sometimes all you need is a bag of Funyuns, Gatorade and Resiliency!! The Lady Cardinals started the day 0-2 losing to Mound City and Bishop LeBlond with their first-match starting at 10:10 am. Then, they dismantled Excelsior Springs and the smiles came back on their faces. The Spiking Lady Cards went on to win their next 6 sets defeating Savannah in their final pool play match before bracket play. Then they upended Bishop LeBlond in the bracket opener 25-19 and 25-17. To win the 🏆 they needed to topple Savannah again, so that's what they did in 2 sets with Kiya Cook putting the Savages away with a SAVANNAH TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING BLOCK!! Remember, it's not how you start it's how you FINISH!! The Lady Cardinals started losing their first four sets only to win their final 8 sets 🤯🏐
