Attention SJMS Football parents:
Practice:
8/17/2026 – First day of practice 3:30PM to 5:00PM – Your child must have a sports physical completed by the first day of practice. Please have your child bring the completed form to coach the first day of practice. They will not be allowed to practice without the physical being completed. The physical must have been completed after 4/15/2026 to be eligible for the 2026-2027 sports season **Bring cleats and plenty of water
Week of 8/17/2026 to 8/21/2026 – Practice will be Monday through Thursday 3:30PM to 5:00PM **No Friday Practice this week
Week of 8/24/26 to 8/28/26 – Practice Monday through Thursday 3:30 to 5:00PM **No Friday Practice this week
Beginning Monday, 8/31/2026 – First day of school practice will be Monday – Friday 3:00PM to 4:30PM

WRESTLING SEASON HAS CHANGED! The MSCAAC league has moved the wrestling season to coincide with the boys basketball season in the fall. Practice will start on Oct 20th. More information to come.

Interested in joining the Middle School Cross Country team?? We are having two unofficial practices on 8/18/26 and 8/20/26 from 6pm to 7pm. We will meet at the MS Gym door entrance. Be sure to bring a water bottle. We hope you'll come check it out :)

Last night, SJMS had 9 athletes participate at the Lansing area Honor Roll track meet. Alex Garcia, Parker Mason, and Bentley Arts all placed in the top 8 and received medals for their events. Aubrey Rodewald placed 3rd in high jump, Phoenix Baldwin placed 2nd in the 2-mile, and Roman Koenigsknecht placed 2nd in the 800 meter dash and broke the school record. Congratulations to those 9 athletes. In addition, congratulations to Kelsey Randolph for breaking the school record in the shot put earlier this season. GREAT JOB REDWINGS!!
