Yesterday, we celebrated the Clinton County RESA Class of 2026. π
Throughout the years, these Cougars have shown tremendous growth, perseverance and determination. They have inspired their peers, made a lasting impact on staff and achieved so much along the way.
We are so proud of all they have accomplished and while we will certainly miss them, we are excited to see what the future holds for each and every one of them.
Congratulations, Class of 2026! Once a Cougar, always a Cougar. β€β¨

Students kicked off some summer fun last week with a day full of exciting activities and memorable experiences. From meeting animals from the mobile petting zoo and enjoying a pizza party with friends to exploring sensory activities featuring foam, sprinklers and other outdoor stations.
The St. Johns Fire Department also stopped by to create a refreshing water spray experience on the playground for students. The day wrapped up with a sweet treat from Kona Ice and a lot of smiles. βοΈππ

π± Transforming the community, one acre at a time!
Huge shoutout to Stephanie D'Huyvetter's amazing 5th-grade class at Charlotte Upper Elementary! I had the absolute honor of watching these students present their year-long 3P (Project, Problem, Place-based) Learning project: the Crandell Park Prairie Restoration. π¦π
Thanks to a generous land donation from Eaton County Parks, these students have spent the school year researching and planning how to remove invasive species and replant native flora. The result? A thriving future sanctuary for butterflies, bees, and vital pollinators.
This is what true community collaboration looks like! Mrs. D'Huyvetter brought together an incredible team to provide expertise, funding, and resources, including:
Eaton RESA
The MiSTEM Network
Eaton County Parks
The Wildflower Association of Michigan
Eaton Conservation District
USDA Farm Service Agency
Michigan State University
Place-based education creates unforgettable, real-world experiences for students while leaving a lasting, positive impact on our community. Brilliant job, hands-on learners!

As summer begins, families across the Clinton County RESA service area can find free summer food programs for children and teens.
Through Michiganβs Meet Up and Eat Up program, children 18 and under can receive free, nutritious meals at participating summer meal sites. No registration or paperwork is required at on-site meal locations.
Families may also find SUN Meals To-Go options at some locations, along with information about SUN Bucks, a summer grocery benefit for eligible families.
