Congrats to our Students of the Week, Ava Arts and Ellah Ingleright.
Ava is a junior who participates in competitive dance at Alissa’s Dance Elite, golf, Renaissance, sports leadership and NHS. After high school Ava plans to go to college to pursue a career in the medical field. Her greatest accomplishment was competing in Las Vegas and winning Nationals alongside her team and best friends. Her favorite season is summer because she loves the sun, spending time at the lake and being able to spend time with her friends. Her favorite childhood memory is spending time with her cousins and siblings up north at the lake. When she feels like giving up, her parents, grandparents and friends keep her going.
Ellah is a freshman who participates in Renaissance, SSHCO, French Club, YAK, basketball and track. She also volunteers at St. Vincent’s, The Basic Needs Center, The Good News Kitchen and her church. After graduation she wants to go to college to study environmental conservation or environmental justice. If she could meet anyone, it would be Rachel Carson to ask her how she was able to persevere while writing her book Silent Spring and overcome backlash once it was published. Her favorite season is spring because her birthday is in April and all the plants start to bud and animals come back. Her go-to midnight snack is triple brownie cookie dough ice cream and the last show she binge-watched was Transformers. When she feels like giving up, her faith in God, Pastor Pearl and her mom keep her going.
