A committee of St. Johns educators from across the district recently formed a Screening and Recommendation Committee to learn more about the candidates for the St. Johns Board of Education. All four candidates were invited to meet with the committee and three of them chose to spend time with us. As a result of those conversations, our team unanimously recommended that we
Elect Jessica Parker-Sternburgh and retain Dr. Timothy Jackson in this fall's election.

A shout out to the staff of SJPS for all they have done this year to educate our St. Johns students in a global pandemic. You are appreciated!

Proud to march with our MEA and AFT brothers and sisters today! We value our students and respect our fellow educators. It’s time to approve the Governor’s budget and fund Michigan’s public schools!

SJEA President Josh Heethuis and Chief Negotiator Dwight Pierson signed our tentative agreement with the district team today! Members should check their home email account for details. A huge shout-out goes to our entire bargaining team for their time and dedication to St. Johns students and teachers!
