STUDENT SPOTLIGHT:
Landen Stevens (11th) is a Choir Student and member of the SJHS Concert Choir. This past weekend, Landen was honored as one of the top ~250 choir students in the state of Michigan and performed with the MSVMA State Tenor/Bass Choir. This process began for Landen in the Fall and required him to learn/memorize 9 college-level pieces on his own. Congrats to Landen and his hard work this year! 🎶👏🏻

Congratulations to the students of the St. John’s Concert Choir on their fantastic performances at District Solo & Ensemble this weekend! All student soloists and ensembles will be moving on to States later this spring! 👏🏻🎶🎉

What a wonderful way to start the year with the Choir Programs FIRST YEAR EVER walking in the Homecoming Parade! Go Redwings! 🏈❤️🖤🎶

Last week, the St Johns Choirs traveled to Saginaw Valley State University to participate in MSVMA Choral Festival. With Good and Excellent ratings, the students were able to receive feedback from adjudicators and grew through this experience. Congrats on a successful Festival and all our students’ hard work! 🎶

This weekend 3 SJHS Choir Students competed at MSVMA Musical Theater Solo & Ensemble, performing 2 pieces each. With perfect scores across the board, seniors Miranda Bourne, Sylvia Bunn, and Gabe D’Valentine will be going on to audition for the All-State Musical Theater Ensemble. Congrats to these amazing Student-Performers! 🎶👏🏻
