🎺 Fundraiser items will be in and available for pick up tomorrow, October 8th!!

🌟 Smaller orders can be picked up by students prior to the end of the school day. 🌟

📦 Students with larger orders will need to have a ride home. 🚗

🙌 There will be folks available to help get orders out until 5:30pm!

🎺 THIS WEEK IN BAND

📦 FUNDRAISER DELIVERY — THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8

Fundraiser orders arrive this Thursday!

• Students with smaller orders can pick them up after school and take them home.
• Students with larger orders will need a ride to get everything home.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
We’re looking for:
• 3–5 parent volunteers from 2:00–4:30 PM
• Several student volunteers from 3:30–5:30 PM

Please email Mr. Walton if you’re available and willing to help.

And a very important reminder:

⚠️ ORDERS MUST BE DELIVERED OR REFRIGERATED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

👔 UNIFORM DRESS SHIRTS

Returning Clark Band members: Please find your black uniform dress shirt and try it on ASAP to make sure it still fits.

Need a different size? No problem — it can easily be exchanged.

Lost it? A replacement is $20.

New members and 6th graders: Don’t worry about this yet! More information and an order form will be coming soon.

And a big thank you to our Band Boosters — uniform dress shirts are provided to students free of charge. ❤️

🎶 7TH GRADE FAMILIES

Please check the attachment for information about the October 21 concert and celebration. Students will also receive a copy in class tomorrow.

Monday: Jazz Band 7:30–8:30 AM
Tuesday: Tutoring before/after school (counting emphasis)
Wednesday: Tutoring after school
Thursday: Jazz Band 7:30–8:30 AM + Fundraiser Delivery after school
Friday: Homework due — all grades

📝 A NOTE ABOUT GRADES

A quick reminder: Late work is accepted.

If your student has missing assignments, please encourage them to work with Mr. Walton to get them turned in.

A few things to remember:
• Homework must be completed outside of school hours. Recording assignments cannot realistically be completed during the school day.
• Tests can be retaken for full credit.
• Assignments can be redone.
• If a student isn’t happy with their grade, Mr. Walton is absolutely willing to work with them to improve it — as long as they’re willing to do the work.

🎶 Happy Monday!!

A few things to know in band this week:

📚 6th grade: Band books start this week! If your student has theirs, please send it in — and put their first & last name inside.

📝 TEST FRIDAY!
Students will get a study guide and have time to work on it in class. Tuesday morning tutoring will also be available specifically for test help.

🎷 This week:
• Monday — Jazz Band 7:30–8:30am
• Tuesday — Morning tutoring
🌟BAND BOOSTER MEETING 6:30pm!🌟 (virtual link coming)
• Wednesday — After-school tutoring by request
• Thursday — Jazz Band 7:30–8:30am
• Friday — Morning tutoring by request

📦 Fundraiser delivery: No official date yet, but we’re expecting it sometime the week of October 5.

🎺 Instrument check: If something isn’t working right, please have your student let Mr. Walton know. He can help with quite a few repairs, but he has to know there’s a problem first!

🎶 Reed check: Oboe, bassoon, clarinet & saxophone students — make sure you’re stocked up!
• Beginning clarinet/sax: Vandoren 2.5
• Most 7th/8th graders: Vandoren 3
• Oboe/bassoon: follow Mrs. Severs’ recommendations

First — THANK YOU! 👏

The fall fundraiser was a success and we met our goal! That happened because of our band families and students putting in the work. Nice job, everyone! 🎉

We’ll share the Century Resources delivery date as soon as we have it.

🎶 Quick Band Grade Reminder!

The #1 reason band grades take a hit? Missing assignments. And as the quarter rolls along, those little missing assignments can start piling up. 😬

The good news: Mr. Walton accepts late work! 🙌

Might be a good night to have your band kid check the grade book and knock out anything they’ve missed.

A little catch-up now = a much happier grade later. 🎺🥁🎷

🎺 This Week in Band!

A few things happening this week:

🎷 Monday: Jazz Band kicks off! 7:30–8:30am
Students can come even if they missed the call-out meeting. Jazz Band is for students who have been playing a year or more or are working with a private coach.

🌟 Students will be let in at door J at 7:25am.

🎶 Tuesday: Tutoring available before school

🎵 Wednesday: Tutoring available after school by request

🎷 Thursday: Jazz Band, 7:30–8:30am

🏈 Friday: 8th Grade Band heads to LCHS to play alongside the marching band at the football game! Permission slips are due Friday.
