Doshin Karate Academy School of Mushin Budo We are the Doshin Karate Academy School of Mushin Budo. The head of our School is Hanshi Dennis Jasper. The lead instructor is Sensei Gavin Jasper.

We are an art derived from Goshin Jutsu by Grand Master Matthew Durant. We are a school dedicated to the betterment of ourselves, each other, and ultimately, society as a whole through self discipline, as well as building our bodies, hearts, minds, and spirits, and self confidence. Come join us sometime at the Doshin Karate Academy School of Goshin Jutsu for a good workout sometime! First class is a free trial class. We also have women's self defense classes. Classes are Monday 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm, and Wednesday 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Women's self defense classes are on Tuesdays 6:45 pm - 8:00 pm, and is a six week course.

On Monday, September 14th, 2026, I, Gavin Jasper reached my Sandan (3rd degree black belt), and Larry J. Jr. Lyle reached his green belt! Congrats to you, sir! It's been a long time coming, and im very excited for you! I cant say it's going to get easier from here on, but I can say with certainty that if you put forth the effort, you will progress in your art. See you all tonight!

Good job tonight on some ground basics like mount escape, guard pass, and modified mount headlock escape. The framing is my favorite part. What were your favorite parts William R. Fitch and Michael Stephens? I hope you guys had fun! We're gonna have a Kihon night soon. Hope you guys are ready! By the way if you guys want to see me teach ground more often, let me know and we'll work it out.
