June 1st, 2023 was the first day opening our doors to the children and families in our community, now looking back on three years we have grown and learned so many things! Opening this daycare was simply a dream fueled by a passion for children and a desire to create a safe, loving place where families could feel at home. Looking back now, it's incredible to see how far we have come.
These past three years have been filled with growth, learning, challenges, and countless rewarding moments. We have celebrated first steps, first words, new friendships, and so many milestones alongside the children and families who have walked through our doors. Watching children learn, grow, and gain confidence has been one of the greatest privileges of this journey.
Owning and operating a daycare has taught me more than I ever imagined. Along the way, there have been many testing moments that challenged us both personally and professionally. We faced unexpected obstacles that we never could have dreamed of when we first opened our doors. There were moments when we had to adapt, problem-solve, and push forward despite the difficulties.
Those challenges helped shape who we are today. They taught us resilience, strengthened our commitment, and reminded us why we started this journey in the first place. While some days were difficult, each obstacle became an opportunity to grow. Looking back, I am proud to say that we persevered through every challenge and came out stronger on the other side.
Running a daycare center is never the same from one day to the next. Every day brings new experiences, unexpected situations, and opportunities to learn. We experience the bumps, bruises, accidents, emotions, and everything else that comes with caring for children. While we are not perfect, we strive every day to be as close to perfect as possible while caring for 74 children. We take that responsibility seriously and work hard to ensure that every child is safe, loved, supported, and given the opportunity to thrive.
What started as a vision has become a thriving community. We have been blessed with amazing families who trust us with their children each day and an incredible team of staff members who help make our program a place where children can thrive. One of the accomplishments I am most proud of is the team we have built. Today, over 90% of our staff have been with our center for more than a year, creating consistency and stability for the children and families we serve. Along the way, we have gained some of the most amazing teachers who bring passion, dedication, and genuine care into our classrooms every single day. Their commitment has played a huge role in the success and growth of our center.
As I reflect on this milestone, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Gratitude for every family who chose us, every child who has been part of our program, and every staff member who has contributed to our success. Each of you has played a role in shaping what our daycare has become.
The past three years have shown me that success isn't measured by the absence of challenges but by the ability to overcome them. Through hard work, determination, and the support of our daycare family, we have continued to grow, improve, and move forward.
While I am proud of what we have accomplished, I am even more excited about the future. We will continue striving to provide a nurturing, safe, and enriching environment where children can learn through play, build meaningful relationships, and create lasting memories.
