Percussionist & former Army Band Commander Sheila Klotz started SoMar Drummers to propel the percussive arts in the DMV. She is an Educator / Clinician with WFLIII Drums, endorses TRX Cymbals and, in 2020, she was awarded the "Hit Like a Girl" International DrumSet Champion. At 10 years old she started rudimental drumming with Rudimental sage John Bosworth. In college she studied classical & world

percussion before joining The US Air Force Band in Washington DC. SoMarDrummers, Inc provides instruction in all percussion instruments through lessons, clinics, master-classes, camps and other events.

We received an unexpected surprise from Mr. Jackson arriving just before the camp. And we put it to great use! Having a complete set of mics helped the young drummers learn where each mic should be placed around the kit - and we dug into mic types, uses, etc. THANK YOU SO MUCH Ralph!
