Day 22 – Hydrate Again

Water helps your body and mind function their best.
Today's challenge:

πŸ’§ Drink another glass of water.
*just not too close to going to bed* πŸš½πŸ§»πŸ™ƒπŸ˜œ

Simple.
Powerful.

Caregiving can ask more of you than anyone else realizes. You may be managing appointments, medications, meals, emotions, paperwork, interrupted sleep, and a thousand tiny things nobody sees.

You don’t have to earn the right to be tired.

Give yourself the same compassion you so freely give to the person you care for.

Day 21 – Read Something Inspiring πŸ“–

Read one page that encourages your heart. πŸ’–

Hope grows one page at a time. ✨

My dear friend Dena Gibson loved reading... and her strength and love inspired me everyday! πŸ˜’πŸ’– πŸ’

Most people notice the big moments.

They don't always see the prescriptions you picked up.
The phone calls you made.
The forms you filled out.
The sleepless nights.
The worries you quietly carried while everyone else was asleep.

Caregiving is filled with invisible acts of love.

Even if no one else notices them...

They matter.

And so do you.

Day 19 – Smile... I didn't feel like smiling much yesterday, so I didn't post this πŸ˜•β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή

Smile at yourself.

Smile at someone else

Kindness spreads quickly.

Day 20 – Feed Your Spirit

Spend five minutes in prayer, meditation, or quiet reflection.

Inner peace is part of wellness. πŸ’–βœ¨πŸ™

If all you accomplished today was making someone feel safe...

That was enough.

If all you accomplished was helping someone smile...

That was enough.

If all you accomplished was simply showing up...

That was enough.

Caregiving isn't measured by productivity.
It's measured by love.

And love has a way of changing lives one ordinary moment at a time.

This popped up in my memories today and it makes me happy and sad... my friends and I helped a dear dear Caregiver (and friend) today with moving her husband with dementia into memory care...
it was so so heartbreaking! πŸ’”πŸ₯Ί as the wife has been the primary Caregiver for her husband, it was taking a toll on her... and they are in their 80's! Her health was getting worse than his! 😒
We worked with her children and had to make hard decisions...

All decisions when it comes to our loved ones are hard... and heartbreaking, but being a little more prepared with resources and help and options and talking to someone you trust that will guide you and your family to what YOU want, will help tremendously!! ❀
Especially before anything gets worse 😒❀

It's ok to ask for help, know some different options and know that you are NOT ALONE!! Most of the resources I have don't cost a thing to help you get things in order and know what your loved ones want and deserve!

Day 18 – Unplug

Put your phone away for one hour.

Notice how peaceful life can feel. 😌

I give myself a time that I am off social media and I don't get online until after a certain time too... I don't want to wake up and that be the first thing I do and see. I need MY TIME in the morning and evening to unwind and do what I need and deserve ❀
