Body Dysmorphia and Being Seen 08/24/2026

What happens when body dysmorphia keeps you hiding from being seen?

In this Red Lotus Life, Lori Tsuya Kinsey and Elizabeth Sol Ray are joined by Lisa Gonzalez, founder of Creatrix Rising, for a deeply honest conversation about body dysmorphia, visibility, nervous system healing, emotional clearing, grief integration, and coming back into the body.

Lisa shares how early body-image wounds shaped her relationship with being seen, why she chose to return to The Spiral, and what began changing as she released old stories and patterns she had carried for years.

This conversation goes beyond body positivity.

They talk about what happens when body dysmorphia lives deeper; in the nervous system, self-expression, being seen, and the way someone experiences their own body.

They also explore learning to work with the body instead of against it, permission to rest, creativity, and the freedom that becomes available when old patterns stop running the show. 💜

Lori here-

This was fun!

Thank you Jessica Ouzts Real Estate for featuring Red Lotus Life and giving us a space to share why we do this work. 💜

One of the things I love about social media is when it actually does what I think it does best - connects people.

Connecting us to people, resources, and conversations we may not have known even existed!

Jessica has been highlighting incredible people and businesses in our community for awhile now and I love that she’s using her platform this way.

Go check out her page, see who else she’s been highlighting, and give her some love!

What’s one common mistake people make in your field?
I specialize in supporting survivors of domestic violence, abuse, and human trafficking.
I found myself in this field through my own lived experience. I was in an extreme situation, yet I never identified as a victim because I didn't see myself reflected in the typical marketing or messaging around domestic violence.
I became deeply committed to this work when traditional talk therapy was not helpful for me and, in some ways, made things worse. I kept hearing that abuse was a cycle that couldn't really be broken, and I refused to accept that for myself, my children, or the generations after me.
That led me to alternative healing modalities that helped me break the cycle at the root.
Today, I am an ADV Spiral Practitioner, I've supported countless survivors around the world in creating a life they love after abuse, and I now teach my methods to social workers and behavioral health professionals as an ASWB ACE Provider.
One common mistake I see depends on where someone is in the journey:
For someone currently in an abusive relationship, the mistake is often not realizing what they are experiencing is abuse.
For a survivor, it is believing that things will never truly change.
For social workers and behavioral health professionals, it is believing they can't make a meaningful difference or that the cycle of abuse can't be broken.
I believe it can. I am proof that it does.

What’s a quick tip people can use right away?
I created a free downloadable PDF with clickable links that people can save directly to their phone, so they have support the moment they feel a panic attack coming on.
They can download it here: www.lorikinsey.com

When should someone call a professional instead of trying to do it themselves?
When they are done living the way they have been living.
There comes a moment when someone knows they are ready for change. They feel fed up, done, and no longer willing to keep repeating the same patterns. That is often the moment they are ready for deeper support. They don't have to wait until things get worse. They can ask for support the moment they know they're ready to live differently.

Signs Your Body Is Resisting Wealth 08/12/2026

What if your body is already showing you where wealth doesn't feel safe to receive or hold?

Our new Red Lotus Life episode, Signs Your Body Is Resisting Wealth, is live.

Lori Tsuya Kinsey and Elizabeth Sol Ray explore the Physical Body side of wealth consciousness—including tension, difficulty resting, receiving support, nervous system responses, and what happens when the body is asked to hold more.

Because wealth consciousness isn't only about what we consciously believe, sometimes the body is telling a very different story.

Follow for ways to recognize old patterns, listen to what your body is telling you, and create a life that feels like yours. 💜
