Meet our MLK chair Brionna A. Brown-Edwards. Who is 21 years old and from San Diego, CA. Her major is Mass communications with a emphasis in broadcast journalism. BSU is very important to her. She been an active member several BSU’s since the 8th grade. She joined BSU because she wants to embrace her culture and learn more about her culture. She said that just because she is African American, doesn’t mean, She knows her culture to its full extent and that is why she was eager to join the club, to essentially learn more about her culture and educate others. Bri’s favorite hobbies are competitive cheerleading, sleeping & listening to Justin Bieber.

Meet BSU’s secretary 22 year old Zsa'Jade Ervin. She is from Los Angeles, CA. She is an English Major with an emphasis in Professional Technical Writing. She loves to play video games, read, write, and watch Netflix and YouTube. She joined BSU because she wanted to be there for her community members as well as starting a relationship with those outside of the community.

political science. She wanted to be in BSU to help the culture grow at Dixie. “More life 🌺”

Hi guys! Meet Lizzie BSU’s VP!! She is 21 years old and majoring in Mass Communication. She is from Las Vegas, NV and came to Dixie because they have a really good communications department. In her free time she loves to listen to Kanye and take naps. Lizzie wanted to be involved with the BSU because she wanted to help with outreach and diversity.

Hey y’all meet Kendall Pitts your BSU President!! She is 23 and from Las Vegas. Her major is communications with an emphasis in applied leadership. In her free time
She likes to relax in her room either listening to music or watching ATL. She decided to join BSU because she wanted to embrace more of her culture. She said that being biracial sometimes means you can get caught up in that label and miss the big picture of what matters. She has pushed herself past her comfort zone and has gained a better understand of what it means to be Black as well as creating her own definition.

For today’s meeting we will be watching the second episode of Dear White People then having a short discussion about it after. Hope to see you all there!!
